Yesterday, the head coach of the Houston Rockets, Jeff Van Gundy, witness a spectacle – about 60 crazy ass fans with their bodies and faces painted in costumes and Rocket garb ranging from the mild to the downright bizarre acting completely nuts. Why? Well, JVG was giving away 30 season tickets to the rowdiest fans as part of an effort to inject some life into an often lifeless Toyota Center during games.
I got the opportunity to go to the event and take pictures. As you can imagine, it was memorable. I spent a couple of hours taking pictures of some really intense fans. You can see the best of the best of the photos I took in my Red Rowdies photoset on Flickr.
