I have always been a fan of the Crocadile Hunter, Steve Irwin. He’s funny, crazy and, despite all the hype, a true conservationist and protector of endangered animals.
In a freak accident off Austrailia’s Great Barrier Reef, he was killed when a sting ray struck him with its tail, which contains a poisonous barb, in his chest. It is EXCEEDINGLY rare to be killed by a ray, but Irwin took the blow directly to his heart. He was 44.
I feel terrible for his wife and two small children not to mention all the animals he championed.
RIP, mate.
