The Definition of Busy

Over the past few months, I’ve been extremely busy with work. That’s normally a good thing and, for the most part, it has been good for me and good for my business.

Now, things have picked up with my band, orange is in, as we are finishing up our CD. Just to get a glimpse into how busy it will be for me over the next two weeks, I thought I’d let you peek at my schedule.

Starting today:

Wednesday
work, lunch meeting with client, work, recording until 11pm

Thursday
work, hair cut, meeting with client, work, recording until 11pm

Friday
work until lunch, recording all day, possible gig that night

Saturday
drive to Dallas for gig with Paisley Close

Sunday
drive back from Dallas to all-day recording session

Monday
work, record after work

Tuesday-Wednesday
work, record from 9:30pm-2am

Thursday-Friday
work, finish up any last recording

Saturday
garage sale

Sunday
day off (finally!)

Monday-Wednesday
work until lunch, studio for mixdown until 10pm

Thursday
work

Friday
all-day mixdown, possible gig that night, then drive to Dallas immediately after

Saturday
conference in Dallas

Sunday
If mixdown is done, spend day in Austin – more likely, if not done, head back to Houston to finish mixdown

Monday
Back to Austin for mastering

Then, after that, it’s just rehearsing, promoting the CD release party and playing that show on November 12. Yeah, that’s all.

Oh, and did I mention that during the time we are recording, I have to get photos taken for the band, get photos taken for the CD cover, get the artwork done for the CD, put together the revised website for the band and get flyers together for the CD release party? No?
