As I mentioned in a previous post, I broke in my new Nikon D70 over the weekend and part of that break in was a photo excursion downtown on Saturday morning with my good friend, Angie McLane.
First off, the D70 rocks!
Now, with that out of the way, let me just say how much fun it was doing this. Post breakfast, we headed downtown and parked near the main bus station. We walked down Main Street up to Eligin over into the Montrose near Numbers and all the way back down Smith to my truck. What a fascinating day!
Angie is great. She walks up to total strangers and asks to take their pictures! Some declined but many were happy to oblige. We got a number of odd and interesting reactions including a man who helped us find more interesting people, a gentleman who said, “Fuck you!” to us and a man named Marshall Kelley who told us he was going to California to be in a movie.
He told us this while sitting in a red convertible Corvette with no shoes on and a cowboy hat with a Playboy pin in it. Awesome!
I posted all of mine and a couple of Angie’s in my photo gallery and I’ll probably post the one’s she took when I get the CD’s from her.
What a fun time. We’re going again soon so, when you least expect it, you might end up in our photo journal. 🙂
