GW was overheard at a luncheon when a mic was left on uttering an expletive about the ongoing violence in the Middle East.
“See the irony is that what they need to do is get Syria to get Hezbollah to stop doing this shit and it’s over,” Bush told Blair as he chewed on a buttered roll.
Really, the quote doesn’t seem all that funny or shocking to me. What nearly had me fall of my chair was the description of how he told England Prime Minister Tony Blair this while “he chewed on a buttered roll.”
That is beyond hilarious because not only was he chewing on something while talking, but the reporter was close enough to know it was a roll AND it was buttered. That’s a little too close for my personal taste, but I’m glad someone else has the President’s Food Watch Detail for the Associated Press because it makes for some damn funny copy.
