As I mentioned previously, I have been migrating my blog over to WordPress for about a week now. I’ve definitely learned to start with the most-used software and then, if you so choose, move to something lesser known. Migrating was difficult and I’m not done. A few things to note about the new design:
1. If you see anything wrong, let me know. I have no doubt things were missed.
2. Comments are missing, but I’m working on them. Unfortunately, I couldn’t move them as easily as the posts. Since I don’t have a TON, I’m moving them by hand.
3. Ratings are gone. I didn’t really care for them much anyway.
4. Another unfortunate result of the move is that links to the old blog are broken, so anyone linking to specific posts on there won’t get to the right place. I’ve created a custom 404 page for that, but that’s the best I can do. So much for that Technorati ranking.
That’s it for now.
UPDATE: I didn’t think about this, but if you have me listed in your Bloglines feeds, you will need to update my RSS feed or you won’t see any new posts. I know, I know, I’m making you work. So demanding.
